The story and history of Saint Boniface. St. Boniface the patron and apostle of Germany, was a Saxon monk of the Benedictine Abbey at Nutsall, near Winchester. His life was sacrificed while preaching the Gospel to the pagans in Friesland (Friesland was originally part of the German empire but is now a province in the north of the Netherlands). He was martyred in Friesland at the age of seventy-five with 52 others.
