The Story and History of Saint Yves
The story and history of Saint Yves.  Yves, or Ivo, was born on 17th October 1253 at Kermartin, Brittany in France, the son of Helori, a wealthy nobleman. He had a wealthy, privileged background and received and excellent education. He attended the University of Paris graduating in civil law and to Orleans where he studied canon law. He attended the University of Paris graduating in civil law and to Orleans where he studied canon law. Yves, or Ivo, became a successful lawyer and judge famous for defending the poor without charge. He was ordained in 1284 and 1287 eneded his legal career to become a preacher. Yves, or Ivo, died on 19th May 1303 at Louannec, Brittany.
