The story and history of Saint Barnabas. Barnabas was a Jewish Levite lived with the early Christians in Jerusalem. He was the companion of Saint Paul who introduced him to the Apostles. He preached in Asia and Cypress. St. Barnabas was one of the first prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch. Barnabas preached in Alexandria and Rome, and was stoned to death at Salamis about 38 AD. He is considered the founder of the Cypriot Church.
